In the previous post, we revealed a novelty for the BMW E39 Touring. However, this was not our last word on this model.
The huge group of fans and owners of the family option of E39 is divided into two camps – supporters and opponents of Nivo. Today we will present an option that meets the expectations of the latter group, introducing you to the MTSGWBM35 set.
You know the front strut very well from the saloon kits. We also introduced the redesigned shock absorber in the previous post. However, the biggest changes still concern the rear axle.
The Nivo rear axle was a common solution in the E39, but there were also examples with traditional springs at the rear. For these cars, and for people who just want to give up the Nivo, we have designed a solution based on Eibach springs. The springs created especially for our needs were combined with a helper spring, creating the already known idea of a double rear spring. The whole allows owners of the E39 Touring to benefit from the use of a full-fledged coilover suspension. This solution is complemented by special adapters that allow to locate the springs in the place where, until recently, there was a pneumatic installation.
The option with Nivo conversion to a spring-based system together with the previously described MTSGWBM34 kit create a set of alternatives for every E39 Touring owner, regardless of preferences regarding the factory self-leveling system. Both of these news are now available on our website. They were also the foundations for the next sets, which we will present in the next entries on our blog.
