VAG group cars are the second group of cars, next to BMW, in which we have a lot to offer. Lowering springs, sports suspensions, camber platres and finally coilover suspensions. You will find a wide range for many VW models. An offer that is also updated.
You have known the MTSGWVW32 set, designed for cars based on the Golf VII platform, for some time. You can also take a closer look at it in the video of its assembly in our headquarters:
The Golf VII echoes the success of its predecessors. The multitude of body and engine versions will meet almost any requirements. We also want to satisfy them. Therefore, the already known set has been significantly modernized. Taking into account the differences in the weight of the motors and gearboxes mounted in this model, the existing MTSGWVW32 set has evolved into two new sets – MTSGWVW52 and MTSGWVW53. The first one is nothing more than an already known set, but under a changed name. The spring used in it is adapted to function in cars with a front axle load of up to 980 kg. It will work well in models with a 1.0 or 1.2 unit, popular in the down-sizing era.
The biggest change is in the second of these sets. Regardless of the fashion, the engine offer for this model still includes the iconic TDI units, or supercharged gasoline two liters, known for example from the top Golf R. Adding to this extremely popular (and heavy) DSG gearbox, we are dealing with a real challenge for the spring. And it is precisely with such configured units in mind that we ordered a completely new spring from the Eibach factory, which is prepared for such a task. The component used in the MTSGWVW53 set can cope with a front axle load of up to 1180 kg.
Parts for the rear axle in this set have also been changed. We bring motorsport solutions to the street. The previous rear spring has been replaced with other springs. No, the plural is not a mistake. In the latest sets at the rear, the height of the car will be determined by the set of springs – the ERS main spring and the helper spring. This solution allowed to refine the operating characteristics of the rear axle suspension. This resulted in an additional reduction of roll and opens the possibility of lowering the car more.
The division into two sets, differing in the range of permissible axle loads together with changes in the rear axle, allowed for a more precise selection of the suspension for a specific car. Regardless of whether it is Seat Leon with 1.2 engine or the wild 300hp Golf R. However, the suspension differentiation VW offers for this model is even greater and we are prepared for that as well, as we will write more in the next post on our blog.
