The range of mechanical unification in the VW concern is sometimes advanced. Common components share not only cars with a different logo on the grill, but also cars from completely different segments. Traditionally, we want to focus on case of suspension.
A wide range of models
VW Golf V has many brothers. Some models are self-explanatory. As with the previous generation of the leader of compact class, it has mechanical counterparts in the form of Seat (Leon), Audi (A3) or Skoda (Octavia). It turns out, however, that the same suspension design can also be found in the models placed in the higher segment. Such an example is the Passat 3C, so the B6 and B7 models. The already known structure of the suspension, on which a much larger body is mounted. This difference meant that for the Passat we decided to extract a new set – MTSGWVW45.

It cannot be denied that the MTSGWVW45 set is a development of the known from the Golf concept – MTSGWVW30. The well-known set found its application in the leader of the middle class. However, there was a dissatisfaction that we decided to eliminate. A large and spacious car is associated with the function of a family car. And this, in turn, involves many travels. Our goal is to offer suspensions that improve the aesthetics of the car and its behavior on the road, while maintaining the useful role of the suspension. In other words, it is supposed to be lower, stiffer, but most of all it should still work. The main difference between the Passat and the Golf is its length. A few dozen centimeters more affects the weight of the car and its behavior on the road. A skilled driver will feel the differences caused by the longer rear overhang. Proper suspension will make it easy to keep it all in check. Hence the important role played by the rear spring.
The secret is in the spring
This feature is the biggest change to the Golf coils. The new spring supplied by Eibach is characterized by a greater height and diameter of the wire. These two factors help to maintain a higher weight on the rear axle, even in the case of a bulky estate car. Maintain and lower naturally! This is due to the height adjustment made of black anodized aluminum.
Thicker wire of the rear spring works better with the higher weight of the car.
We care for the proper and trouble-free operation of the suspension by focusing on details. Therefore, we also add bump stops and dust covers that affect the condition of the shock absorbers to the rear axle. This has already become a standard in our products.

MTSGWVW45 is a set that was born as a result of the ambitions of our designers. From the universal suspension, suitable for many models from one concern, they distinguished a new product, even better meeting the high expectations. Ours and the certification department.
