There is no doubt that the widest range of coilover suspensions in our offer applies to the BMW brand. It refers to contemporary and classic models. Compact cars and large limousines. There is also an item for the model, which was created strictly with the idea of having fun behind the wheel.
The BMW Z4 cannot be classified as a practical car. A two-seater with interesting proportions was created for one purpose – it is to generate maximum driving pleasure. It may additionally increase when we replace it with an appropriate suspension. So created the MTSGWBM40 kit.
Technically, the Z4 E85 is related to the hugely popular E46. This made our work easier to some extent. Both the front threaded struts and the rear sport shocks have been adapted from the extremely popular MTSGWBM03 set to the E46 3 Series.
The differences, as we predicted, appeared in the springs. The E85 model is not only lower and sportier. It was also famous for its almost perfect weight distribution. This gave our designers the task of selecting the appropriate springs. The front is made of well-known ERS springs. At the rear, a barrel-shaped spring is perfect. All naturally produced in the Eibach factory.
This solution applies to the Street series. The Comfort and Sport series were also created next to it. The most interesting solution is that used on the rear axle of the Sport series. The MTSGWBM40-S kit will be the next one to feature a double rear axle spring with a high stiffness main spring. Something for the uncompromising ride of a rear-wheel drive roadster.
The Z4 E85 is not just a roadster. It is also a slightly rarer and equally attractive coupe. And it was this body version that visited our workshop as a participant in assembly and test runs. It was also this car that contributed to the suspension of the entire TüV certification path.
