For years, BMW has been associated mainly with the RWD drive. Over the years, however, the drive on both axles, in BMW called xDrive, began to gain in popularity. Observing this tendency, we started to consider extending the offer to include models with such a drive.
The range of MTS Technik kits for BMW cars has been constantly expanded. Especially in the field of older models, even from the ’70s. However, it still had one gap – no suspensions for BMW with both axles drive. The first set that fits the theme is 61508024 for the BMW E9x with xDrive.
At first glance, you can see the great resemblance to the set for the RWD models. All rear axle components are identical to the long-offered 61508006 kit.
In addition to the shock absorber and the spring produced by Eibach, the rear height adjustment is also identical, equipped with an allen key hole, which makes it easier to maintain a constant adjustment position when changing the height of the coilovers.
The differences come naturally from the front. In order for the kit to be xDrive compatible, we had to make a new design for the front threaded shock. What has not changed are the Eibach springs and the easier height adjustment thanks to the hexaCOIL spring perch.
As in the case of the RWD sets, here, next to the 61508024 set for the E90 and E92, a second set was also created – 61508025 for the E91 with a heavier rear end. Additionally, each of these kits is available in three series – Comfort, Street and Sport. It is also worth emphasizing that regardless of the series selected, each of them is TüV certified.
